The WineStation is not complicated to set up — but there are a few things to have ready before it arrives that will save you time and frustration. This guide covers the Pristine Plus specifically, with Cellar-specific notes where they differ.
⚠ Order These Before Your Unit Ships
The Pristine Plus ships with one WineGas™ argon canister included. You will want at least one or two spare canisters on hand before you start using the system regularly. Each 34L canister covers approximately 40 bottles of preservation use. Order replacements through us at the same time as your unit — lead time on the canisters is shorter but avoid running out mid-rotation.
WineGas™ 34L canister coverage per Napa Technology specification — approximately 40 bottles.
Before Your WineStation Arrives: Pre-Installation Checklist
Pre-Installation — Pristine Plus
Dedicated 115V / 10A circuit — the Pristine Plus requires its own circuit. Confirm with an electrician if you're unsure. Do not run it on a shared circuit with high-draw appliances.
Flat, stable surface rated for 85 lbs — countertop, dedicated shelf, or built-in cabinet. Measure your space: 25.5″H × 19.625″W × 16″D. Add 3–4 inches clearance on each side for ventilation.
Away from direct sunlight and heat sources — UV and heat degrade wine. Avoid placing the unit adjacent to windows, ovens, or HVAC vents.
Spare WineGas™ canisters ordered — unit ships with one. Have at least one spare ready before you load your first bottles.
Bottles selected and at correct temperature — load bottles at or near their target serving temperature so the system reaches equilibrium faster. Very warm bottles take longer to cool to serving temp.
Additional Steps — Cellar Model Only
Floor space confirmed: 23.25″W × 26.75″D footprint — at 240 lbs, this is permanent placement. Mark and measure the floor location before delivery day.
Two or more people available on delivery day — the shipping company delivers to entrance only. You are responsible for moving the unit to its final location. At 240 lbs this is a two-person minimum job.
110V / 7A outlet confirmed at the installation location — standard outlet but verify dedicated or low-shared-load circuit.
WineGas™ argon canister placement space confirmed — the Cellar's argon canister connects externally via regulator. Confirm there is accessible space adjacent to the unit.

Step-by-Step: First Setup
1
Unbox and position the unit
Remove all packaging material including internal foam inserts from each bottle position. Place on your prepared surface. The unit should be level — use the adjustable feet if your counter has any slope. Connect to the dedicated 115V / 10A outlet. Do not power on yet.
2
Install the WineGas™ argon canister
Connect the included regulator to the WineGas™ 34L canister. Install in the designated compartment per the Napa Technology manual. Hand-tighten the connection — do not overtighten. The system will automatically use argon on every pour once connected.
⚠ WineGas™ is Napa Technology's proprietary argon system. Only use genuine WineGas™ canisters — third-party gas cylinders are not compatible with the regulator and may void the warranty.
3
Power on and allow temperature equilibration
Power on the unit. The thermoelectric cooling system will begin working immediately. Allow the unit to reach operating temperature before loading bottles — typically 30–60 minutes. The LCD panels will display current temperature per position.
4
Load your first bottles
Open your first bottle(s) and insert into the Clean-Pour® dispensing positions. The dispensing head inserts through the cork opening — no corkscrew needed once the bottle is open. Each position is independent — you can load 1, 2, 3, or all 4 positions.
💡 Dual Zone Upgrade: If you ordered the factory dual-zone upgrade, you can set two positions to red/room temperature and two to white/chilled. This is factory-installed only — it cannot be retrofitted after purchase.
5
Program your pour sizes
Use the LCD panel for each bottle position to set your three pour sizes: Taste, Half Glass, and Full Glass. Pour sizes are programmable in 0.5oz increments from 0.25oz to 9oz. The system remembers your settings. You can adjust at any time.
6
Set up the safety lock (optional)
The WineStation has a dual safety lock system. If you want to restrict access — for example in a commercial setting or shared household — configure the lock code via the panel. The lock can be applied to individual positions or the entire unit.
7
Pour your first glass
Select a bottle position on the LCD, select your pour size, and press dispense. The Clean-Pour® head draws wine from the bottle and simultaneously injects WineGas™ argon into the headspace. Your first glass — and every glass after — is served at the correct temperature, in the correct measure, with preservation active from the first pour.
Ongoing Maintenance
WineGas™ canister replacement: When the argon canister is depleted, the system will signal. Replace with a new 34L WineGas™ canister. Each covers approximately 40 bottles of preservation use. Order through Luxury Wine Appliances.
Clean-Pour® head cleaning: The dispensing heads should be cleaned periodically per Napa Technology's maintenance schedule in the product manual. The heads are designed to prevent cross-contamination between bottles — regular cleaning maintains this.
Warranty coverage: The WineStation carries a 12-month limited liability parts warranty (non-consumable parts) and 90-day onsite labor warranty. Warranty support is available during Napa Technology's standard business hours. Extended warranty options are available — ask us at time of purchase.
Bottom Line on Setup
The WineStation Pristine Plus is a plug-and-play system — no trades required, no plumbing, no complex configuration. The only preparation that matters is the dedicated electrical circuit and having your WineGas™ canisters ready. If you've ordered and are preparing for delivery, use the checklist above and you'll be pouring on day one. If you have questions before ordering, contact us — we'll walk you through your specific installation situation.
